“TRADING CARDS III presented in conjunction with Field of Play, happening March 7th from 5-8pm at the Active Space.
Just like previous editions of Trading Cards, this exhibition is experimental by design—it allows artists in the show to trade with one another AND works to be sold on a first-come-first-served basis. The happening sets up a system where the works themselves become both subjective and objective currency, creating a frenzy of trading driven by scarcity and urgency. More importantly, the show brings artists together who don’t necessarily know each other beforehand. A dynamic swap meet replaces the static group show by borrowing the performance of everyone present”

Immense gratitude for the artists who trust me to enter these magical, personal spaces and document what they’ve created ✨ This portrait series is a privilege and a delight to capture the here and now of a dynamic, generative, constantly-becoming environment and its relationship to the creator that activates it.
