An omnipresent but ethereal, polarised but unifying element. Pointing out broader scenarios of connectedness as an act of resistance against today’s socio-environmental fragmentation.” Made possible with the generous support of: Pro Helvetia @prohelvetia Ville de Lausanne @villelausanne Canton de Vaud @etat_de_vaud Loterie Romande @loterieromande Arts Visuels Vaud

@daniel___mrtnz Graphisme @david.zwicker

Glad to share some images of a new book. After digging for a while into the archives of the cold war, physics, astronomy and botany labs, and being mesmerized by observing the movement of the water and clouds. Some copies available during Offprint London 2024, Tate Modern, 17-19 May. @offprint_projects @ecal_photography Special thanks to: @david.zwicker @do.young_22 @giacomo.bastianelli @brunoceschel - - - - (H) 2024 Soft cover 316 pages 19.5 cm x 24.5 cm Hydrogen was the first element to appear after the Big Bang. It’s the most simple and the lightest of the elements, but it’s calculated to account for 90% of all the existing atoms in the universe. The Sun, akin to most stars, is formed by a constant flux of merging hydrogen. Water molecules are based on the same element. Providing, in combination with solar energy, the basis for life. However, the most destructive weapon ever deployed, the H-bomb, relies on its same properties. (H) explores the relationship of opposites given by the most subtle of the elements.
