Delighted to share my upcoming recital at @lichfieldfest this summer, alongside pianist @harvey.davies64 🎶 I’m very pleased to be part of this year’s Young Artist Series, presenting a solo recital in this classical festival setting. In this recital, the euphonium steps forward as storyteller, dancer and singer. It moves between bold contemporary writing and lyrical Romantic song, through playful dance and moments of stillness and reflection. It’s a journey across different styles and moods, from classical favourites to modern works, all seen through the voice of the euphonium. What a weekend in Ireland with the crew! 🇮🇪 From a brilliant audience on Saturday night to thousands lining the streets for the parade (even through a proper hailstorm!), I loved every second in Limerick. It was also great meeting inspiring people along the way: Andrew, doing fantastic work with musicians from beginners to professionals, and Liam, whose generosity made the whole trip possible. Ireland’s amateur music scene is clearly thriving. Hopefully it won’t be long until the next visit! 🎺

🇬🇧English I’m proud and excited to share that in April I’ll be travelling to Germany and Austria for two projects that mean a great deal to me: At the 4. Deutsche Euphoniumtage in Plochingen, I will work as a tutor and present the following workshops: • Vom Ton zur Musik – Klanggestaltung leicht gemacht • Besser üben, besser spielen – effiziente Methoden für den Alltag Anmeldung über / It’s a real privilege to contribute to this inspiring gathering of euphonium players and educators, and to share ideas, experience and music with colleagues from across the community. Many thanks for the invitation, @klemens.euphonium ! You can sign up via / Afterwards, I’ll head to Linz (Austria) to take part in the European Brass Band Soloist Competition, where I’ve been selected alongside 18 outstanding brass and percussion soloists from across Europe. For this competition, I’ll perform Song of the Brother, Symphonic Variants and Venice. Being part of this international platform is both an honour and a strong motivation. I’m grateful for the opportunity and ready for the challenge. Ich wurde gemeinsam mit 18 herausragenden Blechblas- und Schlagzeug-Solisten aus ganz Europa ausgewählt und werde dort Song of the Brother, Symphonic Variants und Venice spielen. Diese Einladung ist für mich Anerkennung und Ansporn zugleich. Ich bin dankbar für diese Möglichkeit und bereit für diese besondere Herausforderung. Der April wird etwas Besonderes!🎶

Konzentrierte Arbeit, offene Atmosphäre, schönes gemeinsames Musizieren. 👉 Interesse an einem Workshop für euer Ensemble, eure Band oder eure Schule? My musical review of 2025 2025 felt like a year of change: busy, sometimes uncertain, but full of music that mattered. Numbers: - Concerts: 43 - Contests: 6 - Countries: 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇩🇪🇪🇸🇮🇹 One moment that meant a great deal to me was November in Östringen: a two-day workshop followed by a full concert from memory. It brought together the things I care about most: performing, teaching, sharing ideas, reconnecting with the German scene, and above all, helping people find their own voice on the euphonium. 2025 Highlights included: - recording contemporary, underplayed repertoire with piano (coming to YouTube) - winning the RNCM concerto competition, with performances ahead in Stockport and Lichfield - reaching the RNCM Gold Medal final once again - placing 2nd in the ITEC Solo Euphonium Artist Division in Spain Each of these stretched me in different ways, and I’m grateful for everyone who supported and played alongside me this year. Teaching has also become an important part of my musical life. I now work regularly with around ten students, and I really value the musical conversations that happen there: exploring musicality, phrasing, sound, and learning to talk about music musically while helping players practise more efficiently and become more independent. It wasn’t always straightforward, and there were plenty of unknowns, but this year helped me understand much more clearly what matters to me artistically. Looking ahead, 2026 will be my first full year as a freelance musician, with lots of solo performances and travelling ahead, as well as more opportunities to share ideas through workshops and teaching. I’m excited to see where it leads! If you’re looking for a soloist or workshop leader, I’d love to hear from you!

Ich bin nach Hause gekommen, um neue Begeisterung für das Euphonium zu entfachen, und dank euch allen wurde es zu etwas ganz Besonderem. 6 Stunden Workshop 5 Stunden Proben 2 Stunden Konzert Mein herzlicher Dank gilt: • dem Musikverein Östringen, insbesondere Isabel, Sarah und Claudia, für die Einladung, die großartige Organisation und die großartige musikalische Zusammenarbeit. Mit euch zu spielen war ein echtes Highlight! • Allen Workshop-Teilnehmerinnen und -Teilnehmern für eure Offenheit, euren Einsatz und eure Neugier. Es hat so viel Freude gemacht, mit euch zu arbeiten. • Dem wundervollen Publikum, das die Halle gefüllt hat und mich mit einer Standing-Ovation sogar zu einer zweiten Zugabe zurückgeholt hat! • Meiner Familie und meinen Freunden, deren Unterstützung mir unglaublich viel bedeutet.
