This Tuesday and Thursday i will have the honor and privilege of sharing two of my works Early Spring and Essay No. 2 as part of the @aifvf .
In many ways these two works are sister films and I am very grateful to have the opportunity to screen them both, thank you Athens International Film and Video Festival!!!
🎬 JOIN US TOMORROW at 7:00 PM for an in-person screening with juror Dani Wasserman! Don’t miss this special event. #AIFVF2025
Dani Wasserman is an artist and filmmaker based in Pittsburgh, PA, originally from Athens, OH. After spending the first 24 years of their life in Athens, Dani graduated from Ohio University in 2021 with a degree in Media Arts, building a portfolio of short films and video works. They then moved to Boulder, Colorado, to pursue an MFA in Film at the University of Colorado, Boulder, which they completed in 2024. Dani’s work has been showcased at festivals across the United States and Europe, including Film Diary NYC in New York, SQIFF in Scotland, and many times here at AIFVF. Endlessly enthralled with the scattered blasts of light that dance across our retinas, Dani makes films about feelings, bodies, queerness, memories, and sometimes baseball.
looking forward to sharing my newest work as part of a program of my films while enjoying the honor of being a visiting artist and juror at this year’s @aifvf . If you know me you know how near and dear this festival is to my heart and how thrilled i am to have this opportunity!
hope to see some familiar faces and meet some new friends there 🌞🌧️🌼🍃

more and more i am enthralled with the beauty around me and compelled to document it. at the same time every beautiful sunset, cicada symphony, and shadow on the sidewalk reminds me of everything that those displaced and harmed by the genocide in gaza have lost
i do believe palestine will be free and i believe we must continue to demand an end to this suffering
this video is comprised of a piano improvisation and iphone footage i made as meditation to release the stress of endless job applications and attempting to market myself professionally. I wanted to share what I’ve made along with the only personal thoughts i care to share at the moment. my hope is this can provide you with a deep breath. a moment to be grateful, to be grieving, and to be ready to continue the fight.
