TAURUS NEW MOON ā™‰ļø Taurus is bullish, strong willed and determined, steady, not one to easily back down, stubborn. Uranus, the great disruptor, has finally left Taurus alone, after 7 years of upending the status quo. Taurus can finally settle back into itself, find its shape. And here we are, late degree Taurus, Mercury too, on the cusp of more change, but of a very different flavor. Wind, let’s say, rather than an earthquake. The question is: who are we now? Where have we landed? The answer might challenge or surprise. Have we changed? Do we really ever change? Or do we just unearth more of who we really are? Taurus holds itself close to its chest, there’s self assurance and self possession. What are we willing to own about ourselves? Who is it, exactly, that we’re bringing to our world? ā™‰ļø The Arrival of Spring Woodgate East Yorkshire, May 6 2011, David Hockney ✨ Books are open for single sessions. SCORPIO FULL MOON ā™ļø Shining a light on the dark, sticky and shadowy bits. It’s uncomfortable for many here, where we’re confronted with aspects of life we’d rather avoid, with psychological patterns that cut to the very bone. We’re all entangled in something, playing out our subconscious through our various relationships and roles. Awareness is half the battle, but it doesn’t guarantee freedom from. That’s the thing here, in life. There’s no real arrival. We work with what is, transmuting energy, alchemizing. When we say: whatever happens to us, is for us, this is what we mean. So how are we harnessing and directing our energy? Are we resentful, seething, scheming? Do we know our own power? Do we fear it? The illumination here is striking. But it’s ours, ours to own, and ours to direct. ā™ļø Hades and Persephone, c. 300 BC

ARIES NEW MOON ā™ˆļø Beginnings aren’t always clean, don’t always reveal a stark dividing line. We don’t always see it, feel it in the ways we’d expect, at the time. This New Moon, with its pileup in Aries, is layered, and confronting. The Sun, Moon and Chiron are tightly conjunct, potentially triggering self doubt, the need to address or conquer fears, real or imagined. Mars, Aries’s ruler, is tightly conjunct Saturn, and also Mercury and Neptune. We’re trying to move, but there are delays, roadblocks, delusion, or angst. This beginning, like many, is internal, slaying dragons within. Fire purifies. If we can harness and direct it, we can find a clear, and rooted why. It’s the motivation we’re connecting to here, the impulse, drive, intent. What drives us? What has been driving us? And does it need to change? First we address the why, then, as the energy moves, the how ā™ˆļø Saw My Shadow, Danielle McKinney

LIBRA FULL MOON ā™Žļø Libra craves balance, decorum, harmony. Is everyone alright? No ruffled feathers. Thing is, at some point an edge gets pushed. Too much accommodating and something’s gotta give. This Full Moon is opposite Saturn (and the Sun) in Aries and square Jupiter in Cancer. There’s confrontation here, limits, and a way through. Venus, Libra’s ruler in its other home sign of Taurus square Pluto. There are rumblings beneath the surface. Squares equal tension. Tension yields creative solutions. Growth edges, ours and others. This feels potent, but not without direction and purpose. Mercury and Mars in Pisces, like Libra, avoids conflict. There’s another option, though, through open, vulnerable communication. The art of collaboration and compromise to birth something wholly new. A promise of what’s to come before we enter a new landscape with the Aries New Moon in two weeks. Pillars, self assured and in their own lanes, supporting the other. It’s not a zero sum game. There’s an olive leaf, and a new beginning on the other side of the discomfort. ā™Žļø Pas de Deux I, Alex Katz, 1994

PISCES NEW MOON ā™“ļø Lots of feeling here with this New Moon. A stellium in Pisces, the Sun and Moon nearing the final degree. Saturn and Neptune, in Aries, conjunct. The dying wish, before the birth. Uranus, that bringer of change, gently massages glimmers with its sextile. Venus in Aries squares Jupiter in Cancer. Again, we sense there’s some water we need to wade through before action can be taken, before Spring and Mercury Direct and the fiery Aries enterprise takes hold. There’s a precipice here, suspended in the between. Leaning into the unknown, into faith, into there being a much bigger and wider picture. There’s beauty and sadness and aching and imagination and tenderness. And much of it may not make sense. But here we are, on the cusp of something new, even if that something eludes us for now. It’s enough to know it’s coming. It’s enough to know that the only constant is change. ā™“ļø Water Lilies, Claude Monet, c. 1905

VIRGO FULL MOON TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE ā™ļø The Sun, Mercury Retrograde, Venus and Mars are all in foggy, dreamy, ethereal Pisces. Virgo Moon opposes, sextiled by expansive Jupiter in moody, emotive Cancer. There’s a whole lot of water here, even with Saturn and Neptune newly in fiery Aries. To be frank, I’m not sure how much clarity we can expect under such a fluid feeling-centric sky, even with the promise of Full Moon illumination, even though it’s an Eclipse. Virgo digests, metabolizes. And maybe that’s just it, it’s the feelings themselves, how much they dictate our reality that offers the clarity. Do we recognize just how much we’re feeling all the time? How cognizant are we of our own inner workings, what’s running us? How willing are we to sort through it all, separating the wheat from the chaff, to take time, to not rush through the discerning? The fog is thick here. Acknowledging that which we don’t know, humble in our assessment, aware of our own blind spots and self-delusions offers a balm here, a road to the redemption we so desperately seek, a way in, rather than a way out ā™ļø Woman Bathing, Mary Cassatt, 1890-91

AQUARIUS SOLAR ECLIPSE ā™’ļø With Saturn (Aquarius’s co-ruler) in Aries (conjunction Neptune), we’re entering a new energetic landscape. The tides are turning. This one may come as a jolt. Aquarius is fixed, detached, ideological. Uranus (Aquarius’s other co-ruler) is exactly Square, urging us to break free of stagnation. Mars entering into this same square in the coming week is likely to amplify such drives. There’s a lot of noise around Eclipses. Often overhyped, unless directly impacting one’s chart. Nevertheless, they are portals and gateways. Information is gleaned. Time collapses. In this case, it’s the beginning of a story. Or a new chapter, anyway. These Leo - Aquarius Eclipses are ongoing into 2028. We can think back to February 2008 for insights into our personal evolution. And, more recently, 2017. But for here, now, look to where 28 degrees Aquarius falls in your chart. Pull the lens back, and widen it, too. Where’s the liberation point? It may not be as obvious as we expect - or want. But it’s there, if we’re willing to look. ā™’ļø The Voice Of Space, 1928, Rene Magritte

LEO FULL MOON ā™Œļø Seemingly lit from within, Leo reminds us that life itself it the creation, illuminated - not by earthly pride - but heavenly inspiration. Opposing, we have a stellium in Aquarius, highlighting the tug between individual light and collective interest. Fixed energy here sustains, embers feeding creative fire. This year, this Full Moon falls on The Feast of St Brigid, Imbolc and Tu Bishvat, all celebrations of fertility and the first inklings of Spring. ā™Œļø The Sleeping Gypsy, Henri Rousseau, 1897

CAPRICORN NEW MOON ā™‘ļø We have Mars (drive), Mercury (communication) the Sun (vitality, Moon (needs) all tightly conjunct in Capricorn. Venus (values), very newly in Aquarius conjunct Pluto. That’s a lot of Saturn, which is also Sextilng, as is Neptune. Saturn is serious business, with a side eye and dry wit. Responsibility, structure, a solid undertaking. This is a substantial beginning to a landmark year, energetically speaking. We can look our fear and limitations straight in the face, and journey forward, anyway, clear and direct in intent and action. We’re a month out from Eclipse Season and the Saturn Neptune Conjunction in Aries, the fog will soon lift. This offers us a perfect moment to anchor in what’s real, sustainable, and true. ā™‘ļø Looking Down the Yosemite Valley, 1865, Albert Bierstadt

CANCER FULL MOON ā™‹ļø A benevolent and warming start to the year with Jupiter loosely conjunct the Moon, expanding our emotional lives and its connective tissue. The Sun, part of a Capricorn Stellium, is anchored, sandwiched between Venus and Mars. There’s direction here, even with Saturn and Neptune’s Piscean fog, a firmer sense of where we’re headed, or what it is we’re after. Cancer and Capricorn form the parental and familial axis of the Zodiac. Lineage, ancestry, our sense of place and home. ā™‹ļø Winter Landscape in Bavaria, Gabriele Munter, 1950
