@justlisag took me to Alaska last month and introduced me to the amazing environment and communities around the Juneau Symphony and the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra! I took WAY more photos and videos than I have here on this epic adventure and I’m already thinking about a return trip. Beautiful parts of the country and the world with a lot of great Native American culture, many art galleries, and craft-related shops. The music was fantastic and the people were even better! Great food and beers up there, too. I have a lot of homework to do now as well thanks to Beethoven, Bologne, Copland, Haydn, Ed Littlefield, Jennifer Higdon, Michael Sachs, Michael Torke, and all the incredible performers in these ensembles. There is over a billion dollars of unpaid royalties sitting in the MLC. However, songwriters have to claim the money in order to get paid. The MLC does not proactively attempt to find the songwriter who are owed royalties. If those royalties go unclaimed for three years, the MLC can redistribute those royalties.
