Six years and two days ago, on March 13th, 2020, they closed all the theaters. Just like this year's Thirteenth, it was also a Friday. For those still keeping score at home, that's two thousand, one hundred and ninety-three days.
We've lost so much. We've gained so much. In that time, I've let a lot of great people into my life. I've had to relearn how to be vulnerable, and many days, how to be kind. I wonder what you've lost; what the loss has taught you.
Last week, I auditioned for a production of RENT. I wanted to choose a piece that would stand out while showcasing my range, so I picked this song written and composed by @scottklopfenstein and this orchestration was created by my brother @garbagefight for the purposes of this tape.

Throwback to playing "El Cabronito" in one of the first films I got to direct, SUNNY SIDE UP, starring @stephen_m_kaiser ... When @kriderthewriter and I saw a competition for 90 second films, we decided to compete against each other in true @teaminsomniac spirit, collaborating on one another's productions along the way.
Neither of us won, but maybe the real festival prizes were the friends we made along the way...
