An ode to poor choices of things to do with one’s camera: wade waist-deep into glowing waves without a housing or strap.
The glow itself is caused by bioluminescence — microscopic plankton (often dinoflagellates) that emit light when disturbed by movement, like waves or swimmers. It’s not always predictable, but warm, calm evenings sometimes bring them close to the shore.
