Day 3 of Italian RS 21 Nationals
Another breezy day with 4 races! All results in the top 10 so improvement on Day 2s results. A hard long day but managed to solidify our positions finishing 8th Overall and 2nd Corinthians. A good day in the office to finish the Italian Series for the year.

The best end to the weekend was taking another step up the podium to finish 2nd Corinthian team, showing the progress made since the start of the season. Such great racing in a class that has welcomed us so warmly, and now we even have some more British crews joining the fun with us.
We certainly enjoy these moments on the podium even if we do get a little wet!

What a weekend at Round 2 of the RS21 UK & Ireland Cup in Lymington!
From challenging tactical racing in the Western Solent on Day 1 to a breezy shifty wind in Christchurch Bay on Day 2 before the final races back in the Solent for Day 3. Great fun to race a quality fleet in the home waters. Huge thanks to @rlymyc for hosting and to all competitors for fierce, fair racing. We managed to win the event winning all races but had to fight hard to catch leaders often on the final leg of the race.
Next stop: Cowes for Round 3 at the @royalthamesyachtclub 250 years Anniversary Regatta, see you there!

Good to be back in the boat for the first UK&I event in Hamble last weekend. Two glamour days racing in a mix of conditions. Happy to come away with a win, starting the season as we aim to go on! On to the home event next month in Lymington.
Worlds 2024
It's been a couple of weeks since the Worlds in L'Escala, Spain πͺπΈ, and now the boat is back in the UK π¬π§. We thought we should do a wrap-up post from the event. A great couple of training days β΅ with new techniques and learning the conditions π were definitely useful going into the racing π.
Day 1 was a great day for us π, with plans being executed π and speed delivered π. We did have a small breakage β οΈ, but nothing the team couldn't handle πͺ, ensuring this didn't affect our results π. We ended the day with an 11, 1, 13 π; with everyone struggling for consistency, this left us happy π and delighted π to have taken victory π in our first world championship race after a couple of seconds over previous editions β±οΈ.
Day 2, there was a lot of waiting around β³ after forecasts suggested a breeze developing in the afternoon . Although this did occur, it built rapidly β‘, resulting in no races being completed.
Day 3: again some more waiting, but this time the breeze filled in π¬οΈ and was steady in direction. At the higher end of the range, this provided exciting racing but also a large awkward swell π that made driving a real challenge. Results were down from our previous ones with scores of 18, 20, and 21 π; we knew this put the pressure on going into the last day. ποΈ
Day 4: A very similar breeze π¬οΈ and direction, but easier swell π made life easier. This time, we were able to improve π as the day went on with a 13, 12, 11.
Overall, this left us in 13th overall again, which we were pleased with π, but just missing our top 10 aim π―, so still more to achieve. It was a great week on and off the water π, highlighted by a wonderful sailors' dinner π½οΈ with karaoke π€, where we were able to showcase our amazing skills to the international crowd π. See you all next year! π
