When the bullies and “cool kids” picked on me and my friends growing up they were looking for attention and a semblance of feeling/being important. To be right against all and never in the wrong. But later in life I would ask about them and no one would be able to remember what happened to them, who they were, or even think fondly of them.
I feel the same way about anyone negatively commenting online about things and people they don’t know about. Same kind of bullies who hide on burner accounts and surround themselves with other bullies, in a disgusting echo chamber of vitriol. I don’t engage in this game anymore. There is more important work to be done.

I’ve known Paul since the early aughts when we were all hanging around similar art and Hip Hop homies. Always loved how he blended his love of graffiti into his practice. It’s no wonder you can see a sprinkling of those influences in the Pixar projects he helped to create. Don’t normally go out on Sunday nights, but I think this is a good reason to eat and drink out. Pull up on this rare one!

Tonight was amazing. I was able to support our library’s foundation @scclff in raising funds for our work, meet and hobnob with our donors and supporters, and interview one of my favorite journalists and radio personalities, @alexismadrigal of @kqed_forum . The energy was great and the banter amazing. Really felt the love and community coming together tonight. Makes this work worthwhile.
I also found out some patrons secretly made a $500 bid during the auction to have dinner with me! You should have saw my confused face when over 100 people just stared in my direction and congratulated me. Luckily I am OK being used this way by the library patrons. 😂
My heart is full tonight.
