"Paradise" comes in many forms. Poets shared their words about food, heaven, backyards and people they have lost. It was wonderful to hear new poets and youth share their talent tonight.
Join us next month with our theme "Belonging" inspired by California Poet Laureate, Lee Herrick.

Poets and Friends,
We packed the cafe at Barnes & Noble last night! We have many thoughtful poets who spent a lot of time embracing this month's theme. It was fascinating hearing stories about culture, racism experienced by children, women in the Olympics, equality, war and so much more! It was also wonderful to have a student step up to the mic (it was her first time and she did great!).
What a supportive group! I feel very special to be a part of this experience.
I look forward to seeing you all on April 9th where we will explore the theme of "Money."
Come join us for activities, building community and space for your creativity! This class will carve time out of your schedule dedicated to writing poetry.
