Dance Playground 2025 🛝 These images hold the traces of movement - of exploration, listening, and being together in one shared space. This year, Dance Playground brought artists from Thailand, South Korea, and Singapore together to explore how movement can reflect our inner worlds, a changing society, and the relationships between us. Through four distinct works, we witnessed diverse contemporary dance languages and the quiet power of artistic exchange. Founded in 2022, Dance Playground was created as a space to dance, to play, to experiment, and to share - especially at a time when opportunities and platforms for exploration are limited. Now in its 4th year, the intention remains the same: to be an open space for all levels and backgrounds, where growth emerges naturally through collaboration and community. Young dancers X Sarawanee Thanatanit This new work by Sarawanee Thanatanit is shaped through curiosity, experimentation, and the energy of youth. Developed under Sarawanee’s direction and vision, the piece was created with selected local youth dancers who took part in the process - learning, responding, and growing through her guidance. For the youth dancers, this experience went beyond learning choreography; it became a chance to understand how a professional choreographer thinks, creates, and shapes movement. Both platforms share the same vision - to create a space where young artists can experiment, express their voices, and be seen and heard through their own perspectives. Through the delicacy of movement, Newtrograde captures the tension between the “speed of modern life” and the “quiet stillness of human connection.” It reminds us of the beauty in pausing, sensing, and truly connecting with one another.
