Congrats @dragonqueenmammak bringing it back after 10 years. DK Vol. 27 back in 2013 was actually the first event I'd ever shot for anyone (I was a volunteer) so the event does some have some history with me. Glad to be apart of it once again.

Im still trying to process everything and there’s never any good/ group photos on my phone but today I realised this Dk Volume - Rhythm and Roots is the most meaningful event of all 20yrs of events that I’ve ever done.
It’s the rawest and most honest show I’ve ever created; and in each battle category, there were dancers / Judges / DJs / MCs who came through from hibernation, your all legends and I never forget those who were around from day 1! I Hope we did enough, and you’ll had great time!
It is also the hardest event to organise given my mental and physical conditions which made it impossible to do everything / anything 💯- I’ve never thought of pulling myself out of my own event more times than this 1, but im sooooo glad I didn’t! And the reason is because I have support!
To my “Rhythm and Roots” dancers; music production and team - I’m so blessed to you in the show, I’m so in awe of all your work, i am soo proud of us💖🫶
To my judges/ dj / MCs - you guys are amazing to work with and all had my back, much love and respect to you all!
To the dance community - thank you always for showing up! We are small but mighty and growing! Keep loving dance (not just dance battles) and keep developing your relationship with dance.
To my staff and volunteers - none of this would happen without you guys from planning / marketing to everything that happens on the days of the event/workshops! I always say it takes some insane people to do events, thank you for being insane with me and allowing me to fully lean on you when I don’t trust myself🙏🙏🙏 I cannot thank you guys enough! The best events team ever!
