Itâs nearly impossible to take a bad photo of Amsterdam or any other Dutch city. Too much history, water and beauty. And too many of my favorite people around. â¤ď¸ thank you December for all the love.
Todayâs inspiration, public art about humanity being/not wanting to stay human, and Tilda Swintonâs notes for radical living:
Make friends with chaos
Hold a calm mind
Let things shake
Forgive human frailty
Champion second chances
Defy unkindness
Nurture friendship
Listen to the quiet
Seek growth
Trust in change
Treasure learning

Amsterdam photo dump. Walking the streets of Amsterdam has been almost a form of art. Some cities just fill you up and this is one of them for me. Although, be ware of cyclists, because they are not aware of you đ
Grateful for yesterdayâs Affective Cartographies workshop at Utrecht University.
Through body mapping and embodied reflection, participants traced how climate crisis is lived: in inherited mining family stories and legacies, in experiences of climate and economic migration, in deep care for the planet, and cultural memories tied to waterways, show and ice.
The resulting maps were vivid, complex and deeply human: a reminder that climate emotions arenât abstract but are carried in our bodies, showing how we connect, imagine and act together.
Thank you to all who brough such generosity, insight and creativity to the room. Special thank you to @girlatomic for making this possible (and for a generous reminer that my research matters despite the recent bitter DECRA rejection).
Modern & Contemporary Art Museum (Moco) in Amsterdam. Banksy, Kusama, Kaws, Warhol, Haring, and so much more. My highlight is relatable and funny artwork by Robbie Williams inspired by his mental health struggles âI didnât lose my mind, it was mine to give awayâ R.W.
This is a wrap to a very quick visit to Sydney to talk about our grief work at The Annual Australian Academy of Humanities Symposium. Thank you @micronarrative for fun. cheering and generous support â¤ď¸ always fun to talk about the politics and magic of honoring and tending to our feelings, griefy ones included. Til the next time Sydney!
Artwork from Patricia Piccininiâs exhibition at the Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery.
I may have finished my run completely soaked but at least there was a double rainbow đ to cheer me on and the pot of gold was not that far from home âşď¸â¨
