This week we’re celebrating four brilliant SLiDE leaders who each stepped into the spotlight and shared their creativity, experience and leadership.
⭐ Kirstie co-led a full day of workshops in a SEND primary school and then brought those ideas back to lead a session with the SLiDE Collective.
⭐ Will co-led a Crosswor(l)ds workshop with GCSE & A-Level Dance students at Darrick Wood School, sharing his experiences and creative practice.
⭐ Aaron co-led the workshop at Darrick Wood School, helping students create movement inspired by words, personal stories and contemporary dance.
⭐ Tasha delivered a careers talk at Bensham Manor School, speaking about her journey and sharing what is possible through creativity and determination.
At SLiDE, we believe learning disabled artists should have opportunities not only to participate, but to lead, teach, perform and inspire others.
This week was a powerful reminder of what happens when artists are given the support, confidence and space to share their talents.

For 3 years, SoDaDa has been:
✨ A stage for learning disabled artists & DJs
✨ A space to take risks
✨ A community that shows up
✨ A night where anything can happen

Mentoring the next generation 🌟
SLiDE supports learning disabled artists through mentoring projects that develop creative skills, leadership and confidence.
Mentoring can include creative development, performance opportunities and support to grow as an artist.
These projects help artists take the next steps in their creative journeys.
