Cleethorpes girls
Every so often people stop me and ask if I will take a photo of them. Normally I’m the one seeking out permissions, so it’s always a nice change to be sought out.
Bright dull days
The Cleethorpes seafront has now become somewhat a significant aspect of the work that I make and has helped shape how I approach the rest of my work. These are a few frames from the 2021 ‘Bright Dull Days’ Where I explored the post Covid return to the beach.
The smell of fish & chips in the air on an evenings walk.
I steer away from the evenings once it darkness settles, often in favour of the pastel twilight tones. Every so often I remind myself that there’s scenes that resonate with me long after the sun has disappeared.
Starting to get back into the swing of things now the season is warming up.
Also bumped into another photographer along the front.. @curtispadley as he was snapping the ice cream shop. Always great to see other creatives making work in this area!
A day at Skegness.
Just an hours drive down there road from my seaside town to this next one, and it’s always a welcome sight to see a different location and find new frames.
All seasons in one afternoon. I was so excited to get out and shoot this weekend with @matt__feeney and having more bright sunshine was lining things up to be a great day of shooting the coast.. until the storm clouds rolled in. But after seeing the actual photographs I think some of my favourite shots were with that big moody sky.
Hello sunshine.
I do love this time of the year. I can finally get back out and start making work again with the brighter days and return of some activity along the coast.
Here’s a few snaps from this Easter weekend. Feels good to start sharing something new!
On a sidenote, I feel like I want to try something bit different this year. I’m not sure what yet, but I feel some evolution is needed.
Having just booked to head back to Rhodes 🇬🇷
I though it would be a great time to dig out and share some favourite photos from my last visit.
Super excited to be heading back to the island and making more images of all the beautiful scene.
