Spent an incredible, emotional and thought-provoking weekend at a WW2 historical LARP focusing on the Womenâs Auxiliary Air Force (WAAF).
The game was very much about womenâs stories and their actions during the war. A handful of us played RAF pilots, with our roles designed to be in service of the WAAF narratives.
Our characters were fictional, but the producerâs meticulous research and a fully immersive environment meant that everything felt real, with only very minor liberties taken to make it a functional game.
I felt lucky to have experienced this with such a considerate and invested player group, and a brilliantly talented crew who made it feel like we were doing something significant. If youâre even slightly interested in that time period, Iâd strongly recommend âWing and a Prayerâ, if they decide to run it again.

Iâm very fortunate to find myself in the right place at the right time on many occasions. Sometimes the light hits just right. Sometimes you find a couple caught in the magic of the moment, blissfully unaware of your presence or the very scene theyâre standing in, overcome with love and good vibes.
Seeing @danattfield and @alisonarnopp in the golden hour sunset as it ricocheted through their hair, fully invested in each other, I had to snap a few shots off and I couldnât be happier with how these came out.

Such an incredible day nerding out with these two titans of guitar, the incomparable Dan and Mick of @that_pedal_show . Not only are they sickeningly talented and knowledgeable, their passion for why they do what they do manifests in the warmest, most genuine way - I felt at home the second they welcomed me in. Thanks for having me, legends.
