Malta Pt. 2 - Films Photos (I will likely post all photos in a reel, there are a lot I like and can’t post all here.) I’ve been shooting BTS for 7/8 years now, on and off. It’s actually how I started my career. All digital and mostly on my EOS R( I still shoot on it 😂) I enjoy photography so much more than video, mostly cuz I can’t stand editing. I love my Warriors job, but if I could be a nomadic nat geo photographer, you’d likely never see me again. I wanted to try shooting film, so I brought a Canon A1 and 4 rolls of Kodak 400 to Malta/Sicily. I started with leaving my film in my luggage and letting it get scanned by airport security… Tom offered to give me one of his 50 ish rolls or Portra 400 but I didn’t think I needed it… yet… Once I started shooting in Malta, I used what I “felt” was the best setting and mostly ignored the digital meter in the camera. After we got to Sicily, I had gone through a couple rolls, being very selective in the shots I took and I loaded my last roll into the A1. I had gotten comfortable enough to find the composition I wanted (sometimes comp stomping on @tom.taugher cuz he’s a wizard) and doing a quick adjustment before snapping. It got to be fun over the two week trip. On the ferry back from Sicily, and through the entire day, I was snapping really solid compositions with fun lighting, honestly probably some of the best shots I got the entire trip - but i realized later that evening that I loaded the roll incorrectly, and was essentially shooting NOTHING. 💔 Tom let me have one of his Portra 400 rolls for a little photo walk I took in the hours prior to my flight home. Walking around Malta I felt like the biggest tourist but had a lot of fun with it. All in, I shot 4 rolls and I feel like I got some really solid photos out of them. Had a lot of fun and definitely gonna make it a dedicated addition to my kit. 10/10 recommend 📸 🎞️ #film #filmphotography #Portra400 #malta #sicily

Here’s some of my favorite moments from 2025 - in reverse.

Malta pt. 1 “Why don’t I see any pictures of Dan?” I was invited to shoot behind the scenes in Malta and Sicily for 2 weeks. Pretty amazing trip, lots of good times with the squad. I’m very bad about posting what I do outside of the warriors games - so heres some of it. A couple of the BTS photos I got… too many good shots to share them all here so I will likely make it a series.
