Grateful to be a part of the incredible edit team for @soulpatrolfilm at Sundance 2026. Thanks to my brother the gr8 @_byronleon , quickly becoming one of the best editors in the game, and ofc our capt, my guy @jmharper 🫡, winner of the directing award: US documentary 🙏🏾🎊🏆, a true inspo from whom I have learned a lot, thank you both for having me as part of this incredible, ambitious and truly beaut film. These two are maybe the hardest working ppl I’ve ever been around let alone worked with. Lucky to be in the room early witnessing you both work out the shape of this story, seeing this go from index cards on the wall to this grand cinematic film was surreal. Congrats to fellow edit squad @niles.tv , Nina Vallado, @dustinwaldman , prods @danimmassie and the gr8 @mpallman , the best @vanessaharper and @stellaguggenheim , the folks at @parkpictures and @concordiastudio . And of course, Hello to all the lovely new pals I met at park city, pictured here in various states of disarray. Big love to my buds @iamphilipt & @victorartesona , of whom I am very proud, and @kiaroscuroo @austincassel , glad to have spent this with you all. I’ve often said if I ever do a band again it’ll just sound exactly like Can. Well Eric Slick @strangeamerica somehow heard my call to the universe and has included me on this bonkers show , a one time only, truly wild assortment of folks paying tribute to all things germanys finest music n3rd export Krautrock. Come for a night of expertly curated shorts (all on gorgeous 16mm 🎞️) followed by our live score to close it out. T’will be a very special night with very limited seating so def grab tickets while you can 🎟️💨. The Scout premieres tonight at @tribeca . Overwhelmed and eternally grateful to my pal and collaborator, director/ writer Paula Andrea Gonzalez Nasser (@5thfloorpictures ) for trusting me to be composer on her beaut feature film debut, also my first as a composer on a feature. Was a treat figuring this out with someone who uses m*sic so intelligently and sparsely. Flattered and honored to be a part of it. I was recently reminded of trying to sneak into Tribeca screenings as a preteen with my older brother and it’s the only film fest my folks know, so this is a dream come true. Hugely inspired by the hustle, know-how and the “F it let’s do it” attitude of PAGN, RMB, and the gang. Seeing you all do a daunting thing that feels impossible has been a big reason I plow forward as a filmmaker, so thanks. Big huge thanks to my OG collaborator the legendary, longtime pal Julian Fader (@umareyougonnafinishthat ) for playing drums, engineering, and mixing, best in the biz, and ofc the incredible RMB (@ryanmartinbrown ) for coordinating and the gr8 edit along w/ da edit gawd @_byronleon . Huge congrats to the laundry list of talented smart ppl who worked on the film both behind and in front of the 🎥 and on the PR end.
