Our Easter trip to @charthampark A lot of people were excited for this one and a lot of people are hoping this it's on the calender next year as the feedback from our members was very good! @damuelson & @superrainman gave the best cards in on the day, both scoring 36 points, but it was the latter who took home top prize for a stronger back 9, well played Jordan 🔝 As if winning the day wasn't enough, @superrainman also took home a sleeve of balls for winning nearest the pin. I think it's fair to say he will be one of those looking to return to @charthampark next year! Longest drive, and always in contention was @asto90 , who also bagged himself a sleeve of balls to whack miles. Thank you to the team @charthampark for the warm welcome and for looking after us. We hope to see you in 2023 🙏

Our 2021 season finale/ 2022 season opener @cottesmorehotelgolf 24 players were treated to a bit of early spring sunshine as we played on this cracking course. It was a little soft in places but the course looked fantastic considering we are on our way out of the winter. Winner of the day was @damuelson who landed a 39 pointer, ending the season strong and starting the new season even stronger. Well played Sam Longest drive, not for the first time this season was @camburgon__ 🚀 Closest to the pin was Mr @morris071928 with his precise effort on the 7th 🎯 It didn't go to plan points-wise for everyone though, as a couple just about crept into the low 20's, atleast they enjoyed a good breakfast. Thanks for having us @cottesmorehotelgolf @cottesmoregolfproshop - it was great to finally visit after covid cancellations over the past couple of years 🤝

As it stands folks..... @superrainman will be top at Christmas. Last year's champion is putting up a fierce defence of his crown, but its only a narrow lead over captain Kirk who has been very consistent this year. @damuelson completes the top 3, tieing level with Sean Kirk currently. Sam will be confident he can get one more high 30 card in to give himself a chance. There are plenty of challengers in the 160's who could really upset things at the top if they can get another card or two in to replace one of their lower scores. David Wells and @ashleychapman410 look a long way away on that table, that's because they have only submitted 4 cards. Another 30+ card from either of those two will put the fully in the mix. There is another little mini league going on at the other end of the 5 card table, for the dreaded wooden spoon 🥄 only 5 points seperate @taylormadetay & @lee_phillips84 with Steve moat snr in the middle of them. The potential of 2 rounds to go, all being well. Two chances to play the round of your life and flip that table on its head. Next up, @royaleastbourne on December 29th. See you there 👋

What first tee jitters?

As expected, Saturday was a great day on a fantastic golf course! There were some very good cards handed in from the 25 players who made the trip. The best being 38 points from Darren Gurr. Darren took home the top prize for shooting a very good score in breezy conditions with some tricky greens 👏 Longest drive was won by @dgroberts17 who somehow managed to make his ball stick on a sloped, dog legged and narrow fairway. Nice shot Dan. Nearest to the pin was won by @110ydw Lloyd has gotten so fed up of just playing with the winners so he has decided to start taking home so prizes for himself. The picked pairs trophy was successfully defended by last year's champions @damuelson & Bill Shuttleworth. They scored a total of 73 points together, which was unmatched by any of the pairings drawn out that day. Both Sam and Bill handed in very good cards, with Bill in particular putting in a very solid round. Surely they can't make it a threepeat next year? Thank you to the guests who came along. We hope you enjoyed the day and we look forward to welcoming you back, hopefully next time as members.
