Every year I have to remind myself to venture out and capture the beauty of this crabapple tree! It grows quietly at the back of our house and is often overlooked. But come May, this pretty tree is hard to ignore. The branches suddenly come alive and for a few brief weeks, are covered in gorgeous pink blossoms. I love the transition of seasons. These woods, not long ago were adorned with bluebells in their prime, and now a carpet of wild garlic covers the forest floor! Every walk, surrounded by the garlic smells, makes me think ‘what’s for dinner??’ We often end up discussing dinner plans and confusing the dog. ‘Dinner’ just happens to be one of his favourite words and he wonders, ‘I’ve only just had breakfast!! Even I know it’s not dinner time yet! Wonder what they are on about??’ ©️Thank you for visiting my gallery. Backlighting: This challenge made me ponder about the possibilities, lens flare, silhouettes, bokeh, rim light, to bring a little magic to your photos. Think, golden hour at the beach, sun-kissed faces, sandy feet, warm light glistening on the water.My interpretation however is slightly different. A cobweb, backlit by the last rays of the sun. The sun, all the while melting into nothingness in the evening sky. It seemed like time stood still even though people went about their business. When I first arrived, the woods were shrouded in a blanket of mist, but as the sun rose over the brow of the hill, a warm glow spread, transforming the scene. In those fleeting moments of light and shadow, the day unfolded, full of promise. Ynyslas is part of the Dyfi National Nature Reserve. The dunes, the largest in Ceredigion, are home to a diverse array of wildlife, including orchids, mosses, liverworts, fungi, insects, and spiders. The River Dovey forms an estuary here, flowing into Cardigan Bay, with vast mudflats, sandbanks, and saltmarsh that attract wetland birds.As sunset approaches, the sounds of nature intensify - birds chirping, red kites soaring, rabbits emerging from their burrows, and insects flying, amidst the sounds of waves. Basking in sunshine and loving every moment! What a fantastic week it's been, filled with endless sunshine! Though, I'm only human, I did grumble about the heat earlier... No pleasing some people, right??? Exploring National Trust Llanerchaeron's stunning house, gardens, and woodlands was a highlight! The garden colours were absolutely breathtaking!
