3 years ago I interviewed my grandfather. At the time it felt right,I felt this powerful feeling over my head telling me I need to capture his story. Why am I sharing this 3 years later you may ask…..well, I made excuses “I’m so busy” “I’ll get to it” “I’ll do it later”….blah blah blah blah. Moral of the story, as he has reached older age I felt I needed to share this.
Today: May 10th 2025 I visited him in the nursing home. We talked hunting,laughed about old times, and most importantly I showed him the film I made. Today was an extremely special day for me,and I’m sure it was for him as well.
My good friend @ricky.wayne80 created a film poster from some screen grabs I sent him. He dropped what he was doing to help create this priceless framed poster for my grandfather and I to share. I wanted to say thank you to him publicly so everyone knows how much of a great guy he is. Today my grandfather signed this print. This print is now hung above my desk where I work each day. Every time I look at this poster I will be reminded day in and day out how easy I have it. How beautiful life is, and with hard work anything is possible.
