This album is a year and a half in the making. When making our first album, I focused on making songs that people could move to and beat the hell out of each other to. While that was also a core principle I followed in the making of Obsidian Machine, I also wanted to push myself and my band mates to not only get heavier, but to make the absolute best music we possibly could. This meant not sacrificing cool ideas in order to fit into the hxc box. I fully believe we accomplished that. This is not a hxc album. This is not a metalcore album. This is a Damnum album.
