2025 has been the most chaotic year in recent history. I think I’ve been to more shows this year than ever before including several trips just to see bands. I traveled a bit- LA twice, Las Vegas twice, Pennsylvania for my father’s 80th birthday. Seattle (Dimension 20 Live), Spokane (never again), and Brownsville (hands down the best BBQ in Oregon, if not the entire PNW). A random equestrian gig fell into my lap in June at the Oregon Renaissance Faire and it ended up changing my life entirely. I spent nearly two months over the summer at OR and WA ren faire with @equestrianchaos , healing the part of me that broke when I walked away from my equestrian career in 2021. I made unforgettable friendships (shoutout to The Coop!), learned new skills (I’m a camping girly now), and brought home an incredibly special horse, my favorite mountain, Highlander. I traded in my beloved orange Subaru for a big ass truck and started looking for horse property in late September. I fell in love with a place and got my heart broken when it didn’t work out. I closed on an even better property in November. Construction began in December and I’ll be moving in soon. I can’t thank my friend and realtor @mich164 @michellejoannehomes enough for all her support and dedication finding me the perfect home and connecting me with an amazing team of people to make my dreams a reality. My hobbies and interests leveled up significantly. I debuted a special taxidermy project just before Christmas, and I was honored to vend at NovaVoid Metal Fest for its inaugural event. I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be teaching again at @cryptid_expo in May 2026. I finally joined a D&D campaign, getting the deep dive hands-on experience I’ve been craving for years. I learned resilience and independence through heartbreak and betrayal in ways I’ll never forget. And am more grateful than ever for those who have shown me genuine and consistent love, patience, and respect. I spent the last two years struggling to redefine myself, heal trauma, find purpose. I’m headed into 2026 closing that chapter. Happy New Year 🎆

The Nutcracker ballet is very special to me. My family and I went every year around Christmas time when I was a child and I carried the tradition through adulthood. I’ve only skipped a handful of years, including this one, too busy with work on my new property and moving. I made this piece to pay homage to my favorite holiday tradition. 🎄 I was thrilled to debut this piece at @marketofthebeast last weekend and overwhelmed with the positive response. I wish I would have thought to film people’s reactions! I’ve never made a piece like this before. I used a vintage fallow deer shoulder mount and largely made up the rest of the process as I went. I hand painted the wood appliqués around the stage, made the “snow” dusting the deer’s head, neck and antlers. I learned a lot. I look forward to playing with ideas like this in the future. 🎄 The concept was heavily inspired by taxidermy artist @brookesweston , the absolute master of taxidermy dioramas. NFS
