The seating area is complemented by a custom Scallop console and a wooden screen that gently partitions the living room from the adjacent corridor. Both elements were conceived as functional thresholds: one anchoring the intimacy of the seating arrangement, the other filtering movement and sightlines while preserving a sense of continuity across the space.

Continuing from the dining space, the seating area was developed around our Tusk chair, adapted into a three-seater sofa while keeping the proportions and presence of the original armchair. Additional Tusk chairs create a dialogue around the sofa, while the Shrug coffee table, adorned with a Matte tray, and Andalos side tables complete the composition. Each element was considered not only for comfort and function, but for how it relates to the room as a whole.

The brief was simple: to create a space that feels open and inviting for family gatherings. From this essential need, the project unfolded through scale, proportion, and everyday use. A generous dining setting anchors the room with our Cluster table paired with Coy chairs, conceived to support gathering, and conversation. Alongside it, custom shelving were fabricated to store and display everyday objects, designed to sit in harmony with the dining space. The composition is brought to life through Qanawat lighting, introducing rhythm and warmth to the room. Over this week, we’ll be sharing the rest of the project, revealing how each element contributes to the overall spatial dialogue.

Strand Lamp is sculptural piece shaped by light and repetition. The lamp continues the exploration of strand aggregation, using layering and negative space to create subtle shadow play when lit.

A set of stairs and a ramp at the far end of the library lead to an upcoming auditorium.
One side of the library stacks serves as a sound barrier and further partitions the space from the auditorium.

A partition was erected to separate the archive from the library. A translucent wall of polycarbonate created the necessary privacy between the two spaces.
In the library, on opposing walls, Baltic birch shelving units were installed to house the book collection.
The tables that populate the space were made from birch plywood laminated with white formica.

We had the pleasure last year to fit out the library at the new AIF headquarters (designed by Christian Zahr).
