Today marks a groundbreaking milestone for the Lagos State Government and my good office as we officially launched the Eko Schools Arts and Craft competition for Secondary Schools and Tertiary Institutions in Lagos State. A competition open to Junior Secondary, Senior Secondary and Tertiary categories wherein artists and creatives will make a video of themselves showing their skills with final works for presentation of art works towards prizes in education scholarships.
The initiative is borne out of the need to discover and nuture creative geniuses in the arts and craft space.
Students can Kindly visit ekoschoolsartsandcrafts.com for registration; registration is open from 11th - 18th September, 2025 following which the competition stays open till October 2nd 2025.
Participants are expected to record a video of themselves creating their art works with equipments used and stories that drive them on the website for vetting by professional judges.

Eko Schools Arts and Crafts Competition 2.0
With the support of the administration of Mr Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, I am proud to announce the second edition of the Eko Schools Arts and Crafts Competition, an initiative dedicated to discovering, nurturing, and celebrating the creative talents of students across Lagos State.
A competition aimed to bring together students from Junior Secondary, Senior Secondary, and Tertiary Institutions across the State to showcase their creativity through art and craft.
Registration Window: 4th – 25th May, 2026
Competition Window: May 26th, 2026 – June 15th, 2026
