Today is the last day of Winter -
which brings Spring Snow / Winter Peepers.
These 2 songs serve as an epilogue to the wintry world of Wind Hammer and take place in the vernal pools next to where I live in Maine, USA
There’s a liminal space between winter and spring in Maine that tends to go back and forth until nature finally makes up her mind.
The snow melts and mud season begins.
The spring peepers wake up and start singing / fucking.
Then we get another snow storm...
The peepers go into a stasis as they wait for the final thaw.
Despite the chill, we sleep with the windows open to hear them.
The last minute of this EP is one of my favorite things I’ve recorded.
This one’s for the frogs!

First Dalriver full length album in 10 years 🥴
Wind Hammer out in the world today for free on bandcamp and anywhere else you listen to music.
It’s a wintry adventure that goes to the moon and back and ends in a cloud of snow vapor floating over my backyard.
Thanks everyone, happy holidaze!

I’ve been re-recording a lot of old songs by the fire recently. This was one right after my mom died back in 2008. Comfort songs I like to play on guitar. Trying to compile old ones for a greatest hits album to come out some day. Big ol electronic album coming in December.
Dalriver has awoken from a 7 year cat nap!
This humble offering was made based on some sounds I captured oh so many years ago out in Sitka, Alaska. A small number of tapes available on Bandcamp but you can listen on all the silly streamers too if you want
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Also, something much bigger and widescreen is coming later this year…
