Yesterday a few of our members met up with some lovely ladies from @theorchidgala to deliver a donation cheque from our Below the Belt screening. We are so grateful to all those who came out to support this very important cause and engage in meaningful discussions about women’s health!✨💞 Additionally, we want to thank @theorchidgala for being so supportive of this initiative. #womenshealth #dalhousie

Brought to you by the EDIA Student-Led Committee, we are excited to invite you to join us for an “Able After Dal” event that explores self-advocacy, professional identity, and what it means to navigate nursing with a disability, chronic illness, or accessibility needs. Held in recognition of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, this gathering also offers a space to reflect on how we can collectively challenge stigma and normalize discussions about disability in nursing practice. Allies are warmly encouraged to attend (building a more inclusive future in nursing is something we do together).   We’re excited to welcome several local nurses who bring lived experience with disability across different clinical settings, along with representatives from Dalhousie Career Services and the Student Accessibility Centre. Together, they will share practical guidance, resources, and real stories about accessing accommodations, advocating for your needs, and transitioning confidently into practice. This is a unique opportunity to ask questions, share your own experiences, and hear from nurses who have grown their careers while thoughtfully navigating disability, chronic illness, or accessibility needs.   Join us on December 4, 2025, from 5:00–7:00 PM in CHEB 140/150 for an evening of connection, insight, and meaningful conversation. Food and drinks will be provided, along with several giveaway prizes. Questions? Email: [email protected]
