Check out this video render I created to showcase the production design for the @woolimusic show “INCINERATE” at the Torch in LA 🦣 We wanted to focus on a large video canvas that looked good 👀 from every angle in the audience. Lighting needed to be impactful, but not overpowering 💪🏼 Sprinkling in (12) 42watt lasers made for some real impactful moments. Had the pleasure of designing a stage for the return of @gordoszn in LA for an EPIC 14 hour set. 🌅 He played from 6am-8pm and wanted an immersive stage design that catered to the crowd, vibe, and time of day. Designing a show for daytime was an interesting challenge. Instead of going heavy on lighting/video, the focus shifted to the audience and enhancing their experience. In order to do that, multi-tiered scaffolding platforms surrounded the Artist and dance floor, allowing the audience to walk and dance and interact the DJ. Blinders lined the scaff and color strikes lit the crowd and architecture. The large led fans passed the vibe check while a back wall of nexus panels mesmerized the guests on the second story of the scaffolding structure. The client for this event wanted to create a “Western Saloon” stage, to keep on brand with the theme for the show 🤠 To achieve this I designed a 2-story truss structure/DJ platform. This put the artists close to 15’ in the air! ✈️This structure was wrapped in video and lined with led strips and beams 💡Western style scenic elements decorated the stage to further incorporate the theme. 🐴To help expand the stage width, there are portal arches with lighting and video flanking stage right and left.
