This year was about self-discovery - a beautiful, painful, exciting journey that has already taught me so much. ☕️Coffee Outside☕️ Thanks to @pedalpomona for hosting #firstfridaycoffee. It was a little rainy, cold, and hard to get out of bed. I almost decided to stay under my cobijas, but thanks to @rauljimenez2008 we still made it out. Being outdoors during such a beautiful morning was the perfect way to start not only the day but the whole weekend. Thanks to everyone who came out for the good coffee and even better vibes. We enjoyed some good company, donuts, graham crackers, @micafecitocoffee , @mountainroseherbs , and foggy Bonelli views. Fun fact: I didn’t learn how to whistle until Benito and Yoshi came into my life. Every morning and evening we go on car rides. It has become one of my favorite rituals because it makes them so happy - and gives me time to shut the world out. They’re usually screaming and singing, but when it’s dark they like fall asleep and sometimes whistle (at times they fall asleep while they whistle). Yoshi usually wants to be on @rauljimenez2008 , but also blesses my hand sometimes by sitting on it and enjoying the ride. Today she got scared because of the darkness and a basketball hitting the car, so she enjoyed the ride on my hand and started whistling. Sometimes they’ll whistle back after we whistle. They can slightly whistle the Star Wars intro song, Benito likes Stand by Me thanks to @bongorian_meef , and at the most inappropriate times they’ll do the cat call whistle 😅 We’re adjusting to the days getting darker earlier but usually we aim to do our flock drive before it gets dark. Today we missed the sunset but still enjoyed this beautiful view.
