Tigers basketball had a strong showing at the Sun Life Canada Hoops 3x3 in Toronto, Ontario last weekend.
Forming the Nova Scotia womenâs team was current Tigers Melina Collins, Samantha Manieri, recruit Victoria Fournier, and Olivia Logan from UNB REDS. Tigers guard Giovanni Ajiamah represented his home province of Manitoba. The Nova Scotia men's team secured fourth place overall., and the women's team finished the weekend eighth overall.

Dalhousie Tigers menâs basketball head coach Rick Plato is pleased to announce the commitment of Junior Kazadi for the 2025-26 season.
Hailing from Longueuil, Quebec, the 6â3 point guard played the last three seasons with Dawson College in the RĂŠseau du Sport Ătudiant du QuĂŠbec (RSEQ) Division 1. Kazadi was a key contributor to the teams 2023 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) national silver medal, 2023 RSEQ provincial championship and 2024 RSEQ provincial silver medal.

Dalhousie Tigers menâs basketball head coach Rick Plato is pleased to announce the commitment of Samuel Olugu for the 2025-26 season.
Hailing from Halifax, Nova Scotia, the 6â4 wing averaged 19 points, 8 rebound and 4 assists per game in his senior year at Halifax Grammar. Olugu has also represented Team Nova Scotia at Nationals in 2022 and 2024.

Dalhousie Tigers menâs basketball head coach Rick Plato is pleased to announce the commitment of Osazemhinde Oseghale for the 2025-26 season.
Hailing from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, the 6â7 power forward plays for Uprep Canada, Yxe elite and Bethlehem Catholic High School, where in his senior year Oseghale averaged 26 points per game, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks. Receiving awards of junior most improved player in 2021-22, Oseghale also received senior defensive player of the year in 2023-24 and senior most valuable player in 2024-25.

Dalhousie Tigers menâs basketball head coach Rick Plato is pleased to announce the commitment of Isaiah Graham-Roache for the 2025-26 season.
Hailing from Montreal, Quebec, the 6â5 guard played the past three seasons with Dawson College in the RĂŠseau du Sport Ătudiant du QuĂŠbec (RSEQ) Division 1. Building off the teamâs provincial championship in 2022-2023, Graham-Roache averaged 10.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 2023-2024, and 14. 3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 2024-25. Adding to his successful seasons, Graham-Roache was named 2022-2023 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association semifinal MVP, 2023-24 Provincial Final MVP, and second team all star 2023-2025.

Dalhousie Tigers menâs basketball head coach Rick Plato is pleased to announce the commitment of Griffin McDonough for the 2025-26 season.
Hailing from Halifax, Nova Scotia, the 5â11 point guard has played for Citadel High School since 2022 and has helped lead his team to three provincial silver medals and to be the 2022-23 Regional Champions. In Summer 2024, he played for the Scotia Sting. McDonough also represented Nova Scotia in Summer 2023 for the U16 Basketball Nova Scotia Team and in Summer 2022 for the U15 Basketball Nova Scotia Team where they placed fourth at the Canada Basketball National Championship.

Dalhousie Tigers menâs basketball head coach Rick Plato is pleased to announce the commitment of RaShawn Ferguson for the 2025-26 season.
Hailing from Nassau, Bahamas the 6â7 power forward joins the Tigers from Mount Allison University where he played the last three seasons. He won Mount Allisonâs basketballâs rookie of the year in 2022-23 and in his most recent season scored 11.5 points and 10.7 rebounds.

Dalhousie Tigers menâs basketball head coach Rick Plato is pleased to announce the commitment of Julian Morris for the 2025-26 season.
Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, Morris plays for Canada Topflight Academy West. Before joining CTA West, the 6â3 guard was a member of the senior basketball team at Western Canada High School for three years. In Grade 11, Morris was the teamâs leading scorer, averaging a double-double and earning the team MVP award in 2022-23 and 2023-24. In his senior year, he took on a leadership role, leading his team to provincials. He averaged 22 points per game during the season and 30 points per game in provincials.
âIâm excited to join Dalhousie and play for the Tigers,â says Morris. âThe coaching staff, team environment, and commitment to excellence stood out to me. I look forward to competing, improving my game, and contributing to the team.â
Morris will be studying kinesiology at Dalhousie University.
