Polished doesn’t mean overdone. It means done with intention. It means refined. It means camera-ready in every light. It’s your new standard.

Hi, I’m Daja… The artist behind the brush, the email in your inbox, and the one who’ll probably hear about your entire day. šŸ«¶šŸ½ But first, I’m wifey to an amazing man (yes, they say I’m spoiled… I’ll let you decide), and mom to two beautiful humans who might just change the world! I’m a licensed esthetician and have been in the beauty world for a while, making people feel like them, just elevated. And pretty. I’m always down for a new adventure…or a quick Vegas escape. I take my lemonade seriously (not too sweet, always tart), LOVE a good ICED matcha run, and will absolutely get distracted in the shoe section. Gemini energy: open-minded, honest, and I’ll always keep it real. I love teaching makeup annnnd I’m super nice, I promise… even if my face says otherwise. Sooo now, let’s get to creating your look! LETS TALK LASHES: If wearing lashes has ever felt uncomfy, obvious, or just not it, this is usually why: • You’re skipping the customization part • The lash style isn’t right for YOUR eyes • Glue timing is off, a dry lash won’t stick + a wet lash moves • Placement is slightly too high or too low, this can alter your eyes appearance in a weird way Sometimes none of this gets explained properly, so most people assume lashes just ā€œaren’t for themā€ or ā€œdon’t work for them.ā€ They are. They can be. They just need to be adjusted to you. You wear the lash, they don’t wear you.

Oldie but goodie. I will forever love these images, with @jenlo8 & @sydney.howk . A good liner with a touch of blush with a glow and natural freckles taking a bow. ✨ Cheers to embracing our individual beauty. šŸ¤

A little Moulin Rouge moment with @theofficialtarynv … I loved having her in, she wears this kind of glam so effortlessly. And the wardrobe?! This stunning piece is her design @rcherbrand and it brought everything together. Also used a @maccosmetics pigment as a last minute decision. No regrets. Makeup Intern & Photos @maxmuse39

You might just be missing a few steps…or maybe doing a little too much. I’ve noticed a lot of my clients aren’t always sure what’s going wrong and the answer isn’t always just buying new makeup. It’s knowing exactly how to use what you already have and if it works for you. A few small shifts can completely change how your makeup looks and wears. If you’ve been wanting to feel more intentional with your makeup, I can help. Or you can start with my Polished Makeup: Camera-Ready Makeup Guide. šŸ“–

What every client should know → • prep the skin well, cameras are rude, they show everything. •add dimension. don’t let the skin look flat! add bronzer and blush for a natural finish, contour to create an illusion, if necessary. • add depth to the eyes with lashes and shadows. nothing overwhelming, keep it elevated. Never will I skip on any of these. They will always be non-negotiable for camera ready. If your makeup doesn’t translate on camera, it’s not finished.
