How do you cause utter bedlam for the 20 year re release of Back to Bedlam? You ask @jamesblunt if he’d be willing to legally change his name if it re entered the charts at no1. James changed his name from Blount to Blunt when first entering the music industry, so we thought doing it again would be a fitting anniversary celebration. Over social media, once the public had chosen Blunty McBluntface (with Divock Origi in second place) we were off to the races. We followed it up by doing an ‘insult signing’ at HMV. Where day one fans could get told they’re a massive c*nt by the man himself. I won’t put our whole content mini series on here but the final scores on the doors: 53+ million views over all socials 250k followers gained in 2 weeks A top 10 for an album everyone already owns Global PR with mentions on Good Morning America, BBC, Sky News and The Today Show. *** Thank you to my partner in crime @kimjarrett_ who never thinks my ideas are too mental to do and is an absolute force.
