Last days to see “New Neighbors” @bermanmuseum — show closes Nov. 26.
“New Neighbors” explores relationships and conversations across artists in the greater Philadelphia region. Studio art faculty — David Aipperspach, Cari Freno (@carifreeus ), Sarah Kaufman (@sarahkaufmanphoto ), and Sarah Pater (@sarahrpater ) — were each invited to exhibit work alongside an area artist with whom they feel an affinity. The exhibition brings their work into visual, material, or conceptual dialogue with work by Sarah McEneaney (@sarahmce ), Chad States (@chadstates ), Tony Bragg (@bigheadpainting ), and the duo Nadia Hironaka and Matthew Suib (@hironakasuib )
If you can’t make it out to see the show, the Berman is hosting a book launch for the exhibition catalog @ulisesbooks in Philly on Dec 11 at 6pm.
The catalog features four essays to accompany each artist pair — written by Jacob Feige (@jacobfeige ), Kati Gegenheimer (@kati_gegenheimer ), Rebecca Robertson, and Stan Mir
In the studio cooking up a new series of paintings — based on overlapping grids and a bunch of drawings I made in a meadow in north Georgia earlier this summer ☀️☀️
