18 year ago we moved into our current house (and still love it), which also is the home to my studio. Back then I had a solatube installed into the roof which is a daylight system and with sunny days, this is the result. And of course, that sun is also powering the studio since 2012. 🌞

For some reason it seems to be hip again to send in 16bit mixes for mastering. I noticed that especially in the dance scène people think that it's fine to send mixes with quite a lot of headroom in truncated 16bit. It's not fine, you will litteraly throw away a lot of information and simply add distortion that way.
Your DAW works internally at 32bit floating point and some even at 64bit floating point. So please export your mixes in 24 bit of even better, 32bit. Yes, this makes a difference!!

Do your precious, brilliant music a favor and check your render settings before rendering, printing, bouncing.

To me having a cozy, warm atmosphere is essential in doing my job. I don't like those sterile, unpersonal places with just equipment to work in. I like nature, plants, Green, wood, cozyness, things like that.

Rendering the very first master of 2026 with the new @curuxacustoms desk in place. Not everything is done yet, but it Feels good and I can already hear an improvement in sound because the footprint is even less then the old (18 years of usage) desk.
Already a pretty packed planning in the first week. Love this! Keep that awesome music coming!

I just realized, it's been some time since I last posted here. One of the reasons is, I try to be less on social media these days. Being busy with mastering a lot of really awesome music helps a lot I must say. Right now rendering a 6.10 long track which gives me exactly that time to shoot and post a picture of my brandnew Orange enter button. Ok.. Render done! Back to work!
