LAST SAMPLE
DAFT about DRAFT, a Tokyo-based furniture brand rooted in architecture and dedicated to a freer, more personal way of living—much like choosing what to wear—will present LAST SAMPLE, a site-specific installation at the historic Teatro Gerolamo in the heart of Milan during Milan Design Week 2026 (April 20–26).
Conceived by Japanese architect and designer Taiju Yamashita, the project marks the brand’s fourth participation in Milan Design Week. The installation, inspired by a single chair and the perspective of his beloved miniature dachshund, invites visitors to reconsider their own point of view.
Through this unexpected shift in perception, the project offers a new way of engaging with furniture—where a familiar object becomes a starting point for exploring the relationship between body, space, and environment.

2026年4月20日（月）～26日（日）にイタリア・ミラノで開催されるミラノデザインウィークにて、DAFT about DRAFTが出展。4度目の参加となる今回は、市内中心部に位置する歴史的劇場Teatro Gerolamoを会場に、サイト・スペシフィックなインスタレーション「LAST SAMPLE」を展示します。
建築家・デザイナー 山下泰樹が手がける本プロジェクトは、愛犬であるミニチュアダックスフンドと一脚のチェアから生まれました。予期しない目線を通してデザインをまったく新しい形で体験する、クリエイティブな思考をインスタレーションによって表現します。
