I usually let the stills do the talking, but some things need to move. I had to force myself out of the house for this one - but I’m so glad I did. The last night of the Minehead Hobby Horse - Bootie Night - felt like it deserved to be seen in motion. What a brilliant afternoon at @richardhuishcollege , taking part in their Dragon’s Den style enterprise event organised by @taunton_chamber . 🐉 We were part of a panel of Dragons, hearing pitches from some seriously impressive student teams. The creativity, confidence and commercial thinking on show was genuinely remarkable, and it was a privilege to be in the room. Events like this are so important. They give young people a real-world platform to test their ideas, build their confidence, and experience what it feels like to present under pressure. That’s invaluable, whatever path they go on to take. A huge well done to all the teams who took part, and to Richard Huish College for putting on such a well-run and inspiring event. We left feeling energised. If you get the chance to be involved in something like this, say yes. 👏 (Which ‘Dragon’ do you think we were channeling?)

This week we popped out to @theflower_tree in Hillcommon (Somerset), for a little pick-your-own flower fix and coffee with family. 🌸☕ Such a gorgeous spot. Two acres of seasonal, British-grown flowers, a lovely field café, and the kind of place that makes you slow down and enjoy the moment. No air miles, no chemicals, no plastic. Just beautiful, home-grown blooms and good company. Highly recommend a visit if you haven’t been. 🌟 #pickyourown #freshflowers #somerset #pragency #somersetphotography

We have just returned from Mallorca, where we spent Holy Week watching something we will not forget. 🕯️ Standing in the streets of Palma on Maundy Thursday, as thousands of people gathered for a procession that has happened for centuries, we were reminded why the best travel experiences are never really about the attraction. They are about being present in a place during something real. Something the community does for itself, not for visitors. We have written about what that feeling taught us, and what it means for how destinations should think about their stories. A little obsessed with this mini print dispenser spotted at a café in Palma, Mallorca. 🖨️☀️ Simple, tactile, memorable. A mini print for just €1. Proof that the best marketing doesn’t always have the biggest budget. Sometimes it just takes a bit of creativity. @elbuzondee #palma #mallorca #creativemarketing #pragency #marketing

Maundy Thursday, Palma. The Procesión del Crist de la Sang has filled these streets every Holy Week for centuries. The hooded robes - a medieval Iberian tradition, not what they might first suggest to Western eyes - represent the dissolving of identity in penitence. In the dark, everyone is equal. This week we attended a @visitengland event supporting Somerset and Exmoor’s Local Visitor Economy Partnership. One thing came up again and again: the places that thrive are not always the best resourced. They are the ones that have found their story and the confidence to tell it. We have been working on exactly this, from supporting the Bridgwater Town Deal’s brilliant Brick by Brick film to helping the community in Brean find the stories that make it worth the trip. We have written about what that work has taught us about place, pride, and the role of PR in destination storytelling. Running a business with someone you love teaches you things about communication that no course or textbook ever could. 🌼 Some of those lessons are wonderful. Some are uncomfortable. All of them have made us better at what we do. We’ve written honestly about what seven years of working together as a mother and daughter has actually taught us — the real version, not the Instagram caption version. We had a mooch around Sherborne today 📸✨ What a gem of a town. From its stunning abbey and historic streetscapes to its thriving independent businesses, Sherborne is a brilliant reminder of what great place making looks like in practice. Thriving high streets don’t happen by accident. They’re built on character, community, and the courage of independent traders who invest in a place and make it their own. Sherborne has all of that in abundance. Whether it’s the boutique shops, the local cafés, or the artisan producers, the independents in any town are the beating heart of the town economy and they deserve our support. Next time you’re passing through Dorset, make sure Sherborne is on your list. 🏰 #Sherborne #Dorset #IndependentBusinesses #HighStreet #SupportLocal
