Les Beaux Plastiques is a project about exploring how machines might interpret human emotions: from a moment of feeling, stretched out into a wave of progressing chemical reactions, into a musical work. Each work is accompanied by a synesthesia inspired visual that helps represent feelings of tension and release, anxiety and calm, and excitement and rest. The musical medium of Beaux seeks to ask: what can be music in the understanding of the modern ear?

Lynyn is the electronic music alias of Chicago composer and producer Conor Mackey. Mackey is part of the Chicago fusion quintet Monobody, and has collaborated as a producer with noteworthy indie artists including NNAMDI, Sen Morimoto, Warm Human and others. Lynyn’s 2022 debut LP Lexicon (Sooper Records) received significant critical acclaim from the electronic music world, leading to performances with TOBACCO, LORAINE JAMES, FIRE-TOOLZ, THE ARMED, WOLF EYES & More.
Lynyn’s live performances typically come paired with stunning, fully immersive and reactive visuals, created and performed live by longtime collaborator and Chicago visual artist Owen Blodgett.
