Five is a New Orleans born DJ currently living in San Francisco. 'Club' music in a very broad sense has been a mainstay in Five's DJ sets through the years, but a focus on classic house music directs the overall sound following years of access to digging in record shops throughout NYC. He has a deep rooted love for weaving deeper digs of foundational house, disco, techno, and other music that inspired the dance floors of the legendary American club scenes of late 80s and early 90s with modern dance music. Five is also a part of collaborative projects Triple Five Sol with Vin Sol, Babygirl with Bouffant Bouffant, and organizes San Francisco club night “Ew” with Oscar and Trevor Sigler.

Our DAD 9th Anniversary Headliner: Bouffant Bouffant !!!
He is a DJ, Producer, and party starter from New Orleans, Louisiana. He
cut his teeth in local sex clubs, warehouses, and dive bars before becoming a major
player on the bubbling and close knit American Queer Underground nightlife circuit as
well as frequent international jaunts. Drawing inspiration from his mystic Southern Cajun
roots you’ll find his sets filled with complex organic percussion, soaring uplifting
melodies, and slithering hypnotic blends. His monthly party Gimme A Reason has been
fostering space for queer nightlife in New Orleans for over a decade and is known
worldwide as a raucous, no rules function where permissiveness and community is the
name of the game.

Truly an unreal night @f8sf . That two hour journey flew 🫶🏾 I can’t believe I got the invite to be the headliner that night. @dad_sf has created such a special community that honestly harkens to the queer origins of House and Disco.
The beauty of the House and Disco resides in the stories we’re able to tell over time. That’s how music brings us together, and I’m forever grateful.
