This Mother’s Day, the RAP MOMS introductions continue. 🚨
Known for her breakout record “One Call,” HV @dacoldesthv is an Atlanta-based artist who moves between music and braiding hair to support her family.
Now a mother to 3-year-old Ameri, HV’s path into motherhood has carried real weight. In 2022 she got pregnant and chose to keep her babygirl and raise her daughter through it all.
There’s still distance between her and her father, a well-known Kansas City rapper she hasn’t seen since 2017, but her focus has never shifted far from music and self-expression.
What keeps her going is simple — “closed mouths don’t get fed.” For HV, it’s about going after what she wants, staying on the move, and not waiting for anything to be handed to her. Her biggest motivation is her daughter: “She put that fire up under my ass… I’m gonna keep hustling like I’m broke.”
