A table-scale version of the Sky-Set series, composed of three layers of opalescent glass that translate the quiet gradient of the sky — from soft blue daylight to the warm orange glow of a smoke-tinted sunset.
Each layer holds and diffuses light differently, creating a gentle atmospheric shift that changes throughout the day.

ONDARA MIRROR

Ondara Mirror explores light, form, and movement through a slumped-glass technique using recycled glass. The material naturally settles into fluid, wave-like shapes, evoking the motion of water and the glide of manta rays — inspired by my dives in the Pacific Ocean.
A vacuum silver coating creates a reflective surface that shifts with light and perspective, offering a moment of reflection for the viewer. Its subtle iridescent quality captures the interplay of color and depth, reminiscent of manta ray skin. Each mirror is one-of-a-kind, transforming as the light and perspective change.

A dream come true!
Now looking back at the trip, I’m so grateful to have had such a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity — not only to visit, but also to take part in the World Expo that took place in Japan last year.
The architectural design and innovation wonders, the immense heat, the particular Japanese sense of order found in places where you otherwise would not expect it — and the incredibly exciting behind-the-scenes experience of such a global, large-scale event, contributing at the EU and Baltic Pavilions for the @designbeyondthings exhibition.

Ondara Mirror is created through a slumped-glass technique using recycled glass that naturally settles into fluid, wave-like shapes. Its silhouette evokes the motion of water and the glide of manta rays, inspired by my diving experience in the Pacific Ocean. A vacuum silver coating adds a reflective surface that changes with light and perspective. The mirror carries a subtle, iridescent, light-breaking quality reminiscent of manta ray skin, shifting gently in color and depth as the viewer moves. Each piece is one of a kind.
