“Anouri is like wearing the story” Since meeting Mohammed during a trip to Morocco, I’ve been deeply intrigued by his sense of fashion. Moroccan carpets hold a special place in the culture, as they symbolize family, hospitality, and craftsmanship. Each carpet has its own story, and for many Moroccans, they carry personal memories that go back to their childhood. By giving new life to these beloved pieces, he allows people around the world to wear these stories, as a true tribute to Moroccan culture. With all that’s going on in the world, I have been thinking back to a series of portraits we made a while back. For The Spirit of Amsterdam, we’ve asked people one simple question: “What do you believe in?” No big setups or crazy b-roll, just real answers. It became a guide on what keeps people going, what gives them direction, and how different beliefs can exist side by side.
