In retrospect this shoot was an eye-opener for me about how important it is to also document fashion.
This iteration of classic clothes in motion is the attempt of this young boy inside me who grew up hearing and witnessing the bastardization of CHONGAI dressing. If you were there you knew it was born out of pure derogatory stereotypes on how people from southern Kaduna people dressed.
This is starkly juxtaposed with more contemporary styles by young Kaduna creative @gavilinefashion who is doing incredible work.
I will love to be a part of this for life.
