David Moses — born in Bonn, based in Berlin, trained at the UdK under Valérie Favre — makes paintings that occupy a world entirely their own. Playful and unsettling in equal measure. An imagination that never quite lands where you expect it to.
At the root of his practice: the silent animated film. No words, only movement, music and image — a language Moses has absorbed and translated into painting, bringing that wordless visual storytelling into the known world of contemporary art. Something familiar, made magical. Something magical, made irresistible.

A l’arrel de la seva pràctica: la pel·lícula d’animació muda. Sense paraules, només moviment, música i imatge — un llenguatge que Moses ha absorbit i traduït a la pintura, portant aquella narració visual sense paraules al món conegut de l’art contemporani. Alguna cosa familiar, tornada màgica. Alguna cosa màgica, tornada irresistible.
