First half marathon in a decade. First time running under 2 hours. Didn't meet the goal but have something to work for in two weeks at @clevemarathon . @pghmarathon thx for showing us a good time and dope course!
#throwbackthursday to my very first CLE Marathon race - the 2013 1/2 marathon. At 29, my hairline was strong(er). At 30, my marathon time was just a “happy to be done time.” At 41, I learned that real training leads to real progress and that’s why the 41-year-old version of me straight beasted the 30, 32, and 33-year-old versions of me. It’s not even a competition.
42-year-old me is just running this race to have something to do 🤣

Lastly being back here at BHS campus and seeing the investment in these facilities and young people is another reminder of how much work we have to do in Cleveland. Our kids deserve the world and we gotta do better. Overcoming is what these kids do everyday. On that note, big ups to the two young ladies from Hay House and Garrett Morgan who straight dominated the girls shot conpetition!
