I had the pleasure of hosting John, who is visiting Toronto to see an event in town.
Before our Steelhead Drift, he set some specific goals that he hoped to achieve: to learn the basics of Spey casting and catch his first steelhead on the swing. Mission accomplished!
He also shared stories of his life on the road behind the scenes with some of my favourite bands, like Phish and the Grateful Dead, which enriched the day even more.
These are the simple joys of connecting with new people: teaching, learning and sharing life experiences - it’s what it’s all about!
