That’s a wrap on the 11:59 Songwriting Group’s 9th annual showcase! Thank you to everyone who came out to support us on Saturday at the 04 Center.
This was an exciting year for the group. We had 60 members (a new record) who produced 184 new songs (also a record)! Since its inception in 2018, the group has creating 1,240 new songs.
But the numbers aside, 11:59 provides friendship, mentorship, accountability, and networking opportunities. Over the years, because of the caliber and diversity of its members, this group has become a meaningful incubator of purposeful creativity. It has truly become a tribe.
As we approach our 10th year in 2027, I am filled with gratitude that I get to share this life with so many songwriters—young and old, whole and broken, seeking their voice or helping others find it, writing their 50th or 500th song. To me, songwriters are superheroes. It’s too easy for us to merely observe life in its infinite complexities. So for a challenge, we sing life… and make it rhyme.
On behalf of the whole group, I’d like to thank:
The
@04center ;
@goodwolflive for their expert ticketing and logistics support;
@iameightypercent for her graphic design genius;
@sunradiotx for their promotional support;
@sameskyprod for hosting our annual wrap party;
and
@StardustASL for their joyful, fierce sign language interpretation.

“It is always such an honor and fun gig to work y'all's showcase. The Deaf attendees were sooo happy and loved the experience so much. They're already looking forward to next year! One of them flew in from Boston because they remembered y'all's showcase from last year!”
