Comment “Call” if you are tired of feeling overlooked and want a clear system to go from stuck to signed. We will help you map it out and execute.
If you are overlooked right now, you need to hear this.
Jay DeMerit went undrafted at twenty one with no pathway in America. No academy stamp. No contract. No one backing him. Most players would quit there. Jay packed a backpack, took twelve hundred dollars, and flew to England with no plan except to bet on himself.
He lived in an attic and played ninth tier football. Forty pounds a week. No guarantees. Just hunger and daily standards. Three years of silence until one preseason match changed everything and earned him a trial at Watford.
From there he earned a contract, scored in the Championship Playoff Final, led Watford to the Premier League, and started every game for the USA at the World Cup. No excuses. No shortcuts. Just commitment and belief when nobody else believed.
Years after retiring he rebuilt his athletic level again through RicFit. Same formula we use with overlooked players every day. Discipline. Structure. Real development.
Jay was ignored. Written off. Told he had no future. He proved everyone wrong.
You are not too late. You are not invisible. Your story is still being written.
The pressure of picking a World Cup squad falls on both the players and the coach. Players must make sure they are performing consistently, while the coach must ensure that he is making the correct roster decision.

What does real leadership look like when the cameras are off?
Earlier this month, Jay DeMerit shared his journey, lessons and mindset at a Rotary Club event in Vancouver, hosted at the Terminal City Club.
The event was sponsored by IRL Group, with William Donnellan leading the conversation in an engaging interview with Jay, and Joan Posivy leading the luncheon.
From professional sports to business and life, the room was filled with insights on discipline, resilience and what it really takes to build something meaningful.
We were there to capture the moments that matter. The energy, the conversations and the people behind it all.

“The youth sports pyramid is upside down.” 🔻
Too often the system looks like this:
Business → Parents → Kids
But it should be the opposite.
Kids should be at the top.
Because youth sports isn’t just about trophies.
It’s about learning to compete.
Learning to get back up.
Learning confidence, leadership, and resilience.
If the kids aren’t developing and having fun… nobody is really winning.

Youth sports isn’t struggling… it’s broken. 💔
“The ones who tell you it’s not broken are the ones making money from it.” — Jay DeMerit, 2010 World Cup starter & former Watford captain.
The fix isn’t complicated. Change starts at the top with programs loosening up, taking the pressure down, and letting that filter to parents… and then to kids.
Are we building athletes or building humans? 👇
