Show 3 was een absolute rollercoaster. Ik wil even zeggen dat de klik van mij en Bengt direct lentekriebels gaf vanaf het eerste moment dat we elkaar zagen.
Ik ben zo zo ontzettend dankbaar dat ik dit avontuur met jou mocht delen, en al helemaal dat we samen op dat podium hebben mogen staan. Je bent echt een prachtig persoon en ik hoop dat je nooit verandert.
Je brengt zoveel warmte, energie en leven in elke ruimte. Niet alleen naar ons als deelnemers, maar ook naar de choreografen en het hele productieteam. Je zorgde altijd voor een fijne sfeer en dat is echt iets bijzonders.

SYTYCD - SHOW 1
For this first one @shiobiandumas asked me to create some 80’ies Jazz. In my deepdive of the era I got super inspired by Fran Drescher in the Nanny & by Margot Robbie in Wolf of Wallstreet - playing with the tension in this old school dynamic of the homemaker vs breadwinner and translating that to dance in a campy way.
@d4xia_ & @puyakashan worked insanely hard at this & I’m super proud of their focus and hard work throughout this week!

My father always told me to put feeling first when I dance,,because the story I tell should be understood by the people I’m performing for. That’s something I carry with me every time I step onto a stage.
Sometimes, in this dance world, we forget why we started in the first place. We get caught up in expectations, corrections, and pressure. But please, never let your colours fade just because a boss, teacher, or director tells you to. Of course, doing your job well matters. Discipline and professionalism are important. But dancing with genuine feeling, and holding onto that spark within you, is what truly brings a performance to life.
That spark is what connects you to the audience and your own body. And that is something worth protecting. 🌟
