Meet Dennis!
If youβve been around Alcove for a while, youβve probably crossed paths with Dennis, whether thatβs behind the scenes, at a workshop, or just being part of the community.
Dennis is our Development Director, Co-founder of Alcove, and a Calgary-based grant writer, photographer, and community arts organizer. Over the past few years, heβs helped secure over $1 MILLION in funding for arts and community projects, while also navigating the grant world for his own creative practice.
He knows how confusing and intimidating grants can feelβ¦ and heβs here to make it a little less so.
Join us for a Grant Writing Workshop with Dennis, a practical session where youβll learn how to find opportunities, understand what funders are looking for, and feel more confident putting yourself out there.

This year, weβre also introducing the APC Feature Photographer β a new opportunity for one artist to present a mini solo exhibition within the show.
